Membership


Membership in the Keiretsu Forum is by invitation only and is extended to individuals who share our vision and will actively contribute to our core philosophy.

Keiretsu Forum membership is comprised of serious accredited investors, business leaders, venture capitalists, corporate/institutional investors and serial entrepreneurs. Keiretsu Forum enjoys synergies and close relationships with venture capital firms, universities, and other partner organizations.

These relationships facilitate the access to capital, talent, technology, and
resources needed to build a successful venture.

Keiretsu Forum Midwest offers 4 types of membership:


Accredited Investor

A Keiretsu Forum accredited investor is an active accredited private equity investor as that term is defined in Regulation D under the 1933 Act and under other applicable securities laws and regulations. A Keiretsu Forum accredited investor is also a trusted, honest, and respected member of the business community. This member is a contributor of time, wisdom, and expertise to our start-ups and enjoys building relationships with other members and companies we fund.

Corporate Members

A Keiretsu Forum Corporate Member is a venture capital firm, institutional investor, economic development office, industrial partnership office, professional services firm or other forward-leaning organization focused on innovation as a strategic imperative. Corporate Members wish to benefit from the mindshare atmosphere of Keiretsu Forum and generally be exposed to the diversity and quality of companies, entrepreneurs and investor members who make up the Keiretsu Forum community. The participation of Corporate Members in Keiretsu Forum Midwest aims to further promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Midwest region, to create a vibrant economic climate for our area.

Academic Members

A Keiretsu Forum Academic Member is an educational institution whose appointed faculty, staff, and enrolled students wish to benefit from the
mindshare of the Keiretsu Forum angel investor membership, learn about entrepreneurship best practices from presenting companies at Keiretsu
Forum meetings, and generally be exposed to the diversity and quality of companies, entrepreneurs and investor members who make up the Keiretsu Forum community. The participation of Academic Members in Keiretsu Forum Midwest aims to further enhance innovation and entrepreneurship in the Midwest region with an emphasis on educating and supporting entrepreneurs and providing linkages between entrepreneurs,
and the investor community so as to create a vibrant economic climate for our area.

Entrepreneurs in Residence

A Keiretsu Forum EIR Member is a past or present entrepreneur who seeks to benefit from the mindshare of the Keiretsu Forum membership, learn about entrepreneurship best practices, and become exposed to the diversity and quality of companies, entrepreneurs and investor members who make up the Keiretsu Forum community.
